Mirco looking worm in tank. Please advice.

I've seem some micro looking white worm in my tank. they are no longer than 2mm. it's super tiny but I see them sliding on my tank's wall. anyone can tell me what are those? and how to get rid of them. my tank parameters are good. Ammonia -0 Nitrite -0 Nitrate -below 10.

Sounds like planaria. They're usually a sign of too much uneaten food in the tank.

Cut down on the amount you're feeding so there's no leftovers and they should disappear. They are harmless.

Wow I'm so glad to hear that it's harmless. I'm so worried about it but didn't know what to do. I'll heed the advice to cut down the feeding but is there other methods to get rid of them? Like perhaps adding salt? Increase water temp?

Adding salt and raising the temps probably won't kill the planaria, but will stress your fish whereas the planaria themselves won't hurt fish.

Do a good gravel vac, then a water change and don't feed the fish for a couple days. This won't harm your fish, but should greatly reduce the number of planaria. Then feed fish normally, but make sure they get all the food and excess is not settling on the bottom of the tank.

Alright that's sounds great. I'll do as you said. Hope those irritating looking micro worms will disappear. It's just so unpleasant to see white ''dust'' looking worm on the aquarium wall. Thank you for supplying me with the info on what those little things are.

Yea, we usually just suck them up with a turkey baster.

I was just wondering about those! It's good to know they won't harm fish. They are annoying, aren't they! I thought the same thing that there was just some dust sitting on the top of the water, but it didn't move quite right and would collect around any bugs that I'd find floating around. I took a closer look and realized it was a mass of worms! They're all dead now, but it kind of creeped me out.

They are definitely irritating. I'm still trying to get rid of them. We share the same problem. Lol. So lets get those micro worms dead and never to appear again.
