Bloated neon tetra - Please Help

I just noticed this night that one of my beloved neon tetra is sick! I found it hiding behind the piece of driftwood in my tank away from the other neons. It was opening and closing its mouth very rapidly. It has a bloated belly. It does not look fat, but rather its whole belly area is enlarged. Also, it looks as if there is a lesion right above or on its anus. Its colors are also duller than the other neons, even when the light is off.

I did not see any scales sticking out so I do not think it has dropsy. I hope it doesn't have neon tetra disease since I love my neons very much. It does not appear to have any curvature of the spine or irregular lumps, fortunately.

Unfortunately I do not have a quarantine tank. Since I live a small dorm room I don't have enough space to set one up. What do you think my neon has, and what should I do?

I have attached a few pictures. I appologize for the poor image quality. My camera lens needs to be cleaned. Thank you for taking your time to help me deal with my first ill fish.

If it's pretty reddish, you could be looking at an ulcer. I'm not sure though, you might just have a constipated neon. You could try feeding a little bit of crushed pea (a thawed & peeled frozen pea) to see if it helps with the constipation.

Melafix is probably the gentlest thing that could help with the ulcer, but I'm not sure of it's effect on your shrimp.

Yes, the spot is reddish. I'll do some research on ulcers now but try feeding it some pea first, thanks!
