Hey guys, bit of a problem, I've got a 55 gallon tank with lots of happy and healthy fish in it. Everything has been going well until about a week ago, one of my Albino Blood Parrots (We have two) is acting strangely.

It likes to hang out on on side of the tank, in the corner where the heater is, but he/she literally "Hangs out." It will either be pointed straight up, or straight down. At first we thought it had died, but its breathing and moves its fins to keep itself like that, and if we put a net or hand in the tank, it swims around normally with the other fish for a while, then like an hour later goes right back into its position. Its very strange, is it something bad?

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

What are the water parameters? Does he eat? Have you noticed if he has white/stringy poop?

Bit early to test the water perameters, I just added anti-amonia, water change/conditioner, etc. so its early tot est the changes done. S/He does eat when I put food in the tank, and once in a while will chase another fish away.

I'm starting to think its a girl and is pregnant, just cant notice too much of a belly...

No white poop noticed so far, but ill keep an eye out.

thi is kind an old forum but i have an orange blood parrot and mine has been acting very strange too. and do the blood parrots get pregnant or do they lay eggs?

Mines still alive, doesnt do it as much, but still hangs out in that corner and sometimes does it. Still no ideas?
