I have a female Molly who has given birth at least three times that I know of. She isn't very old and all the tank parameters have been checked. She has been moved recently but that was weeks ago. I was out today and I came back and she was on the bottom of the tank barely breathing. She doesn't have ick, it's easy to spot because shes all black. The tank is ten gallons with only mollies, one of which is full grown the others are babies they have both recently had. Any ideas as to why she was struck so quickly. This upsets me greatly and I fear for the others in her tank.

Do you have the exact numbers for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates in the tank? and a picture of her if possible. does she show any other symptoms, like red gills, rapid gill movement, cloudy eyes, etc? Does she try to move, swim or go for food? How long ago was her last batch of fry?

If you have a smaller tank she could be moved to for treatment, it might be good for all the fish until her sickness is determined.
