what is this on the goldfish
(red bump)

And should goldfish turn white like this

IT TOOK ABOUT 2-3 YEARS AND THEY WERE A REGULAR GOLDFISH COLOR RED/ORANGE

THE LAST TIME I TEST IT ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO EVERY THING WAS NORMAL

THE FISH SWIM NORMAL LIKE* MY OTHER GOLDFISH AND IM TESTING THE WATER AFTER I MOVE THE TANK TO OTHER SPOT

THIER FOUR FISH IN THE TANK AND IT LOOKS LIKE A 25 GALLON TANK* *

Re: goldfish

Could we get a little info to try to figure out the problem?

How fast did that goldfish turn white? what color(s) was it before? what are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels along with tank temp? Do the goldfish all have normal appetites and swimming behavior? how big is their tank and how many fish total?

Re: goldfish

I have a goldfish that turned colors like that, too. The girl I got my tank from had won the goldfish at a carnival and brought him home. A couple of weeks later, he turned that sort of pale pinkish color. He seems healthy other than the color of his scales. I feed him a variety of food, so I'm pretty sure it's not dietary.
I've had a theory that it's a temperature issue, because she put him in with tropicals, so the tank has been kept at a bit higher temp than goldfish like.
However, if you've got one in an all goldfish tank that did that, it probably throws my theory out the window.
I was also wondering if it was dyed to make it appear brighter gold.

Re: goldfish

sirdarksol could be right on with the dyed fish suggestion. many people with no hearts do that to fish. He's probably fine if he's acting healthy and all, he just lost the dyed color.

your goldfish with the red spot - does he ever scratch or rub on things?

as long as he's showing no unusal behavior or eating habits i'd just watch the spot and see if anything changes. It could be something totally harmless.
