hi im from singapore...
just noticed that one of my guppy's dorsal fin looks ragged and have white edges..
right now im using 'sera' anti bacterial and fin rot solution to treat it in an empty tank...
but i wannted to confirm again whether its fin rot or not..
as the area below the fin are infected too..

Do you have a picture of your guppy for us to look at & confirm fin rot? It does sound like fin rot.

I'm sorry to hear that your guppy didn't make it. If you can find a product named "Fungus Clear" there, it's great for treating fin rot.

well im kinda using quite the famous brand here..
from germany as the instruction manual said..

The guppy might have died of stress or a secondary infection not the fin rot directly.

maybe its cause of the infection below its dorsal fin i guess

yea, that could be. I think it's why a lot of times people use Maracyn and Maracyn-2 antibiotics at the same time when treating fin rot - because of the infection risk, which Maracyn helps with while Maracyn-2 goes after the fin rot.. i'm curious, what antibiotics are in the product that you used?

i will keep a look out for the maracyn and maracyn 2
but i dont think its available here
