I recently bought a ghost shrimp and noticed -- only five hours after purchase -- that there are white spots on its tail.

Could this possibly be ick? None of my fish have ick at the present time.

I'm trying to locate my other ghost shrimp in order to compare them.

I'm not sure about that. I've never heard of a shrimp with ICH. Let me check.

A lot of new fish will come down with ich because they came in contact with it at the store, but started showing symptoms when they were caught and moved to a new tank because they were stressed. I don't know anything about shrimp though.
