Green spot on fish

My silver Goldfish has a green spot on it.
On the disease chart from the important topics it says lice.
It had it since it was bought which at least 5 months.
I thought it was fungus but found out fungus was white.
Where can I get medicine for it? And is it lice?

Confused in New Jersey with a problem

Re: Green spot on fish

Need to as a few questions Can you get a picture for us? Have you added any fish lately? What temperature is your tank?
I'm sorry to say your tank is overstocked, because Goldfish are such heavy waste producers they need more room than tropical fish. The reccomendation is 20G for the first Goldfish and 10G for each additional Goldfish added. You have 70G worth of Goldfish.

Re: Green spot on fish

I know about the tank issue. My dad only got enough money from the ATM machine (not the person, the machine) to get a 20 gal. At least it's better than the 10 gal before it cracked.(the 10 gal cracked recently, so much for a betta for now)

My family does have a digital camera but it isn't compadible with my famliy's computer, so I can't give pics.
No new fish, 74 F*, I have recently moved the fish to the 20 gallon.

Re: Green spot on fish

Uh it's Ich not Ick and ich is white not green. You can also get rid of ich just by raising the temperature not medication, I wish I had known this before I had bought medication, you want to avoid medication at all costs.

Re: Green spot on fish

Well a website chart told me lice, but fish don't have hair to house lice.

Ick is white not green. If it was Ick the fish would not of survied for this long. (Which is more than 6 months I thought it was fungus) (fish tycoon if you're wondering why.)

Fish tanks are expensive!!! about $300-$400 for a 70 gal here.
