Happyfish

I've got two albinos in a 55 gal tank with three silver dollars and 7 barbs (3 are very small babies). Everyone seems to get along find and I've had them all together for several years. I've noticed that one of the corys has begun to lose all his fins and tail and he looks kinda' "pinker" than the other one. It always did have shorter fins, but it's getting worse. I've never seen anyone nippiing on it. They both eat and act fine, there's no off coloration or spots to indicate disease. Since the sickly cory wasn't getting any better, I put him/her in a separate 10 gal tank set up wiith filter/heater and all and a little aquarium salt. He's swimming and eating, but is there anything else I should do? Thanks for any suggestions!

How is your cory doing? It is possible that your barbs are nipping the Cories, even if you aren't seeing it. Sounds like your Cory has finrot. You need to do lots of water changes to keep the water clean, and treat with a medication such as Melafix, Maracyn, or Jungle Fungus Clear.
