Sick Molly?

I have had a sailfin dalmation Molly(M) since 9/4/06, a couple weeks ago it started hanging out by the heater.* It also looks fat(compared to when I got it).* All of a sudden last night it's tail is curled up(shaped like a J).* Obviously something is wrong with him but I don't know what or if there is anything I can do about it.

The tank has been set up since 7/3/06. All the levels are where they should be.

Thanks,
Ann

Re: Sick Molly?

Thanks,

since I wrote that I have figured out that he _is_ sick ,he is barely able to swim I have since found out that it is probably Dropsy. I have been medicating for 4 days now. He is still alive but barely, I have read that he will most likely die from it. Thanks for your responce.

Re: Sick Molly?

It is probably a female molly that is pregnant. They hide a lot when they are pregnant and get really fat. The "J" shape means that it is trying to release the babies. If it was a dropsy it would be fat and have red streaks on her body everywhere.
