Neon Gone Curvy!?!!

At the minute i have a 12 gallon tank with acouple of plants rocks etc.

6 x ... tetra's
6 x neon tetra's

Well anyway one on the neon's has went curvy, and his back end has curved. HE swims in curcles and sometimes floats upside down but not at the top on the tank.

Anyone got any idea's of what it is and how I can help it?

I'm not sure but it could be lack of oxygen.. have you got a bubble thing? If not just gently and slowly pour water from a height to make some bubbles in the water ...
good luck!

Bubbles, Kinda im filter is build onto the tp of my tank so the water comes drops down but there's only aboot 1-2cm's drop, and doesnt realy make many bubbles.

Should i buy a bubble maker?*

Well that should be ok even if there's a bit going in and the water is moving.. I dont think it's necessary to buy a bubble thingy then... sorry I cant help Have you got a water tester? Might be worth checking the parameters...

Swim Bladder Disease symptoms: fish struggles to swim, may float with head tipped down, or have difficulty surfacing, no balance, etc. May occur after eating. Does your fish display these behaviors?

Re: Neon Gone Curvy!?!!

Well, I've never treated a fish with a swim bladder disease but you can refer to the chart on the top of the board - this is where I copied the symptoms from. Here: http://www.klsnet.com/files/fishchart.htm. On the chart it says to "Stop feeding for 3-4 days. If symptoms persist, feed the affected fish a small amount of fresh spinach or a green pea without the skin (laxatives)." There may be other ways to treat fish with swim bladder disease - but you'd have to ask someone who knows.
