Durbkat

I have a red betta and he is in a cat shaped fish bowl and latley he has been spending alot of time at the top of the water. Is he cold or does he need a water change?

Durbkat don't know how I missed this. By now you've probably figured out he needs a water change . Even though Bettas breathe air the ammomia from their excreations still build up and they need frequent,major water changes. especially if in a small container. Sorry took so long.

He is now in a 2.5 minibow tank but still spends alot of time at top and the water is in good condition.

yeah they tend to hover at the top, maybe he would like a plant.
