Thats an excellent test kit. Did your caps lock get stuck? When you use all caps that means your shouting and I would hate to think you were shouting
Thanks for the readings. How is he doing today? Could you tell us what his normal coloration is please.

Hello Again Fish King, I Put My Water Pillow In On Friday To Soften The Water So I Can Adjust The pH Lil By Lil. When I Used The Pillow It Turned My Tank A Rusty Color Is This Going To Remain This Color? Im Using API's Xl Water Softening Pillow. Should I Do A water change 25% Or Just Add The Ph Lowerer And Change Water In A Few Days.

ur welcome butterfly, thanks for all of ur help. i just changed my water 35% water change. i believe now that he has a bacterial disease "red pest" or fin rot. i will treat the bacteria with fungus clear tomorrow morning. Do u think that lighting if wrong can harm her?

You might want to check the information on "Rid-Fungus" at Kordon's website. I've found it to be very good at treating fungus and not hard on the fishes systems.

What type of lighting do you have?

I don't think the lighting itself can harm her but it could stress her and stress leads to illness. As Dave said, what kind of lighting do you have.

actually, the lighting won't harm her, but betta's are southeast Asian Swamp fish, and they like lots of plants to hide in and UNDER!. If you can find some floating plants (real or not) she should definitly like them to hide from the light.
