I'm not sure if Tiger Oscars usually lighten in color but I have a juvenile Oscar and is starting to look kind of pale along the upper part of his body. No noticable changes behaviorly have changed. He is however, a little bit more shy of me but when I leave He comes out and eats like usual. If anyone has any info the help would be appreciated.

He's probably fine. Is he new to you? If so, he will come out more once he gets used to his surroundings. Also, if your tank isn't at least 55 gallons, depending on his size, he may be pouting. I have 2 albino tiger oscars and their colors have changed as they mature.
