Fish Not Eating!
I just re-setup one of my 29 gallon tanks. I used bio-spira and once it was cycled, added 4 white skirt tetras (one died) and then a week later moved my 3 rams from my 10 gallon tank. Ammonia=0, Nitrites=0, Nitrates=5 Temp=78, pH=7.2. All of the levels are consistent and good. However, my fish are not eating. I am just feeding them tropical fish flakes. I was wondering whether they are sick or if I just need to experiment with different food. I would appreciate any help you can give me

So I came home and studied the tank for a little bit and I noticed that all of my fish look like they might have the beginning of popeye. I put some melafix in the tank, so hopefully that should help. Any suggestions? One of my rams looks like he is wasting away and so does one of my tetras.

Sorry to hear about your fish. Have you tried changing brands?

Brands of food? Yeah. Tonight I tried giving them some frozen food and they just picked at it. Most of it ended up on the bottom of the tank.

Do you have any pics that you can post? Are you seeing any curvature to their spines? Color loss?

I haven't seen any curvature in their spines, but one of my tetras and one of my rams is starting to look rather emaciated though.

Here are some of my pics of my fish. The tetra pictured is sick. Unfortunatly, my sick ram was hiding and I was only able to get a pic of the one that seems healthy, but maybe you can tell something from these pics.........None of them are eating though so I don't know what is going on.

Well, I can't see anything visibly that tells me a particular disease, but I think a VERY good possibility is internal parasites. It would diminish their appetite and cause some lethargy. Parasite clear tabs would be the med to try now.

I'm with betta, since you can't see anything other than some thinness in the fish try to attack some internal problems.

Parasite Clear tablets would be the med to start with. It can be found at pretty much any pet store, even at walmart.

Okay, so I started treating my tank with the parisite meds. The box says to treat it once a week for 3 weeks with a 25 percent water change in between each treatment. The good news is...my white skirt tetras ate for the first time today. The bad news is...one of my bolivian rams died Out of my 2 that are still alive, one is looking good, and one isn't looking to hot. Neither are eating. I have noticed though that my rams do not like to go to the top and eat the flake food like the other fish. I tried dropping an algae wafer at the bottom for them but they didn't aknowledge it. Any ideas what I could try feeding those guys?
