Need help with sick Cory

I had my 2 Cory's n my 29g for a little over a week now. They were doing fine until I just found 1 of them of it's side and breathing very heavy. My water levels are fine and I just did a 25% water change on Sunday. All I'm adding to the tank is NovAqua Plus and VitaChem.I pfeed them some TetraMin wafers for bottom feeders, but they don't eat them.I have no idea what's wrong with him and the other one seems to be fine.

Is there any discoloration to his gills? Is there aeration in the tank? ammonia & Nitrites test to 0? Do you remove the wafers within 12 hours of putting them in?

Test is 0 and yes i have a bubble wand in there.I didin't see any discoloration and I didn't find the Algee waters anymore.I didn't know what else to do last night,so I put a couple of big squirts of VitaChem in the tank.As of right now he seems to be fine,so I guess I will put some more of the VitaChem in for the next few days.Unless somebody has a better solution for me.

Do you have a picture of him that you could post? Does he have any white worm-like things around his gills?

I will try to take a picture and no worm like things anywhere.

He looks perfectly fine. I'm really not sure what happened with him, but if he's doing good now, I guess just keeping an eye on him & the water clean is the way to go.

My Cory was doing so well after I kept putting the VitaChem in the water. But this afternoon I found him dead in the tank.I have no idea what happened, cause he was doing fine last night.I just don't seem to have any luck with Cory's.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost him. We've lost corys the same way.. the sometimes just go all of the sudden and leave you wondering what happened. Maybe double-check the water conditions, but really that's a sad mystery there.

It happened after I did a 25%water change. And now 2 of my Serpae's have white fuzzy looking stuff around their face.I had them for over a year now and I guess i'm not having any luck. But maybe I should post this in a new post.

That sounds like mouth fungus. I'd get some Rid-Fungus for them.

Do you have any idea why just the Serpae's get it and not the Blackskirts or my Orange Flame Tetra? And since you have Angelfish too,why do they wigg out sometimes and act all skiddish? It happened today with my Angels and 1 acted so scared that he rammed his body into the gravel. It is really small gravel, but I thought he was dead.I have no idea what caused all of that.

They may be the weakest or most suseptible fish in the tank to it.

Fred gets panicky like that every so often. I'm not sure why really. I'd see what our members who've had angels longer than 4 months say on it.
