Fish Swimming Awkwardly

Hey all, so I just bought 6 Serpae Tetras, and one of them seems to not be swimming like a regular fish...it's head is pointing to the surface, and his tail much lower. Any ideas of what's going on?

Do you have aeration in the tank? Does he look different from the other serpaes, other than the way he's swimming? Do you have a picture to post? What are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels in the tank?

He looks just like all the other serpaes. The tank is coming out of it's cycle so I still have nitrite and nitrate levels. I have two different sources of aeration, 3 if you count the filter. I did some research online and found something about "swim bladder disease"

Hi,
sometimes just bringing home a fish and acclimating them to the new tank can cause sick or weak ones to die. You may just have a weakened fish there, if the rest are alright. Wondering tho, since you say you are still showing nitrites can you let us know what your water test readings are?
You should not have any nitrites showing.. and that can be the cause of the problem.. if the others start acting funny.

Yeah....I thought it might be the nitrites, but all my fish are swimming fine...nitrites are about .5...I know a little high...

Does he have purple or red gills? Sometimes fish will act like that with nitrites or ammonia. Treating the water with Prime and NovAqua+ may provide him with relief from what could be nitrite poisoning.

Yes, it sounds like Swim Bladder Disease. I heard feeding them peas(the one we eat) are very good at curing them.

Good luck!
