Is there a lot of suspended material in the water?

(Like little minute particles floating around)

It is probably that suspended material getting caught in their slime coat. Extra water changes and maybe some filter floss in an over the side filter would clear that right up, but its nothing serious unless it starts to affect the way the fish swims or something of that nature.

thanks so much. Now I feel SO MUCH BETTER.

Here I thought that they had some sort of weird disease that has never been seen.

You're welcome. This was information I ran by Dino and we answered together, so it wasn't just me.

ok now, would the Polyfil that you can buy for fill a stuffed toy with work for filter floss?

I think Polyfill is just poly fibers. We use it to filter our small pool.

Yes, it is useable, as long as it is 100% just polyfill, nothing else added to it, AND is unscented.

We use that here.

I have NEVER seen scented Polyfill. I would buy it for my next sewing project. MMMMM minty fresh.

Thanks

Can you imagine scented pillows? That'd be amazing!
