Question about Kordon Fish Protector

I ordered some Fish Protector, and was sent the Pond Fish Protector. Does anyone know how these are different?

Looking on the Kordon website, it looks like the ingredients are identical; probably just labeled differently because pond fish people may shop in a different part of the store than aquarium people.

The directions may vary as well as Ponds tend to be very large in comparison to in-home aquariums. If the product ingredients are the same, contact Kordon, I am sure there is an 800 number on the bottle somewhere, for dosing instructions.

Or check their website -- tons of great info there, including dosing instructions: http://www.novalek.com/kordon/index.htm

It does look like the pond version is a higher concentration (I missed that earlier); they recommend 1 cup per 1200g of the pond version vs. 1 cup per 480g for the aquarium version. Kordon is great in that all their aquarium chemicals use the exact same dosage: 1 capful (5 ml) per 10g of water. Since it looks like the pond version is about 3x as strong, you'd probably be safer cutting the dosage to 1 capful per 30g.

That looks right, just a few drops for a 10g. Thanks! I didn't want to smother him in it, but if I can use it, I'd rather not send it back and start again.

You could get a empty squeeze bottle (we get those little travel bottles for shampoo) and use that to measure drops more easily.
