bleaching plastic container?

I have two q tanks, a 10gal and a large plastic container that I use for baths and if I need 2 q tanks simultaneously. One of my new Platys has gill flukes (or something similar) and I'd rather not treat the entire main tank because the other ones are perfectly healthy, and the tank runs on a sponge filter which makes it just about impossible for me to remove medications (can't stick carbon in the filter). Both the 10 and the plastic container are dirty however...the 10 is very dirty and needs to be drained and given a big cleanout/disinfecting since I had a very sick fish in there (who died a couple weeks ago), but the plastic container just needs to be disinfected after using it for epsom baths. Basically it would be a lot less work and a lot quicker to use the plastic container as a hospital tank for the Platy. But I wasn't sure if it can be bleached or not...will the bleach soak into the plastic or anything (it's just a clear Rubbermaid-type storage container)?

No the bleach won't sink into the plastic you just have to rinse it very well and then soak full of extra dechlorinated water for a while

How about a clay flowerpot--can that be bleached?

If you are wanting to bleach somthing I would use a 1:5 one part bleach to five parts water the more porus the item is the longer you should soak it in declor water.
I would use maybe double the declor for the amount of water you are using to rinse the item. Also after rinsing the tiems let them air-dry.
