My Sword Tail Has swim bladder disease Is there a treatment?
What should i do??

50% daily waterchanges until it recovers. That's about your only chance, sadly.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to suggest this chemical or that chemical, if you would rather follow their advice. :

Hi. Im sorry to hear the news that your fish has swim bladder disease. I have a notebook with me at my home; what i did is went online and looked at a bunch of fish medicines to see what they treat. Under my category of swim bladder disease i have two things:
1. Jungle Labs Binox http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/214447/product.web there is a bigger bottle of it as well on there.
2. Jungle Labs Fungus Clear http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/214407/product.web there is also a bigger pack of 100.

I have no personal experience with those meds. I do have the Fungus Clear on hand though. Good luck with your fish others will probably come around with more too. :]

SBD doesn't really have an effective treatment and often is due to air in the swim bladder. I'd go with the daily waterchanges and also add liquid vitamins after each change, if you can find something like Vitachem. What are you treating your tap water with?

I use mineral water.
My swordtail stays resting for along time then Dashes so fast even trying to jump out of the tank

Oh and when it rests, the only sing i see that it is alive is its fins on the left or right.
It is on its side.

one of our platys is like that and has been for almost a week. we're treating her with melafix, fish protector, rid-fungus and vitachem.. no improvement though.

I got baby guppies now.
It seems that nature needs to take a life for a life.............
I guess that is it.
