Hi! I am looking for help from anyone who knows about betta fish. My beautiful betta who I have now had for six months seems to be sick. He used to eat with gusto and now he hardly eats at all and his food just sits there. Sometimes he seems to be freaking out and swimming around like crazy (he was always very active, but he used to be sane about it!) and then other times he floats for hours and nothing short of completely disturbing him will get him going again. It seems like he might be tipping to one side slightly (don't know if that is a symptom or just in my head!)
Nothing has changed in his care or environment. Does anyone have any suggestions?

welcome to fishlore.. did this come on sudden or was it gradual? it sounds as if he may have internal parasites or bacteria perhaps. what is the ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and temp of his tank? what do you treat his tap water with? do you have a pic of him that you could post?
