Hi i was wonder how do you tell the diffrence on missing scales or ick on a red tiger oscar?

Little more info I just got the fish from a overcrowded tank at 1 of the mom and pop stores i got 2 tigers from them they look nice but 1 of them has 1 fin where he was nipped and also 2 spots 1 on each side that looks like its missing a scale or could it be ick? how can i tell the difference. thanks all

ICH will show up as little white spots on your fish, like little salt crystals.

I don't think its Ick then i think he got the beat outta him well i think its a she and the other 1 is a male (which is very very pretty) but i think its missing scales and her 1 fin is all niped up really bad i put some of the API stuff in there to help it heal and that all.
