Multiple medication question

I was using Jungle Fungus Clear for my bettas' finrot while I waited for their other medication to arrive. I put it in the tank on monday night. Now I got the Mardel Trisulfa powder to treat them with. Do I have to do a massive water change to get rid of the fungus clear? I was planning on doing a 30-40% change anyway but do I need to do more to get rid of it? Or can I put some activated carbon in it to clear it out? Also, it says to repeat the dose every day for 5 days. Do I do a water change every day or just when it needs it? If I don't, won't i be overdosing the bettas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Multiple medication question

To get rid of the Fungus Clear, you'll need to run activated carbon and do as big of a water change as possible.

With the Triple Sulfa, you just do a water change after a 5-day course and never during a course. If you do more than 1 course, a water change inbetween courses would be alright, although we tend to hold of on them until done treating with the Triple Sulfa, even if doing 3 courses. If the tank isn't cycled fully, use prime to keep the toxins from harming your betta.

Re: Multiple medication question

ok thanks! hopefully one dose(5 days) will work! I wasn't too happy about the way the trisulfa dissolved...I put it in a cup and stirred it...and stirred it...and stirred it, it was really filmy (not sure if thats a word). Once in the tank water it seems to dissolve ok. Hopefully it helps my little guys!
