What kind of worms are these??

I've noticed really small white worms in my breeding tank, tank is bare, worms are really fine would resemble a strand of hair in short peices but they move like a snake or an eel and and sometimes twist themselves in a knot,Ive seen my fish eat them, yuk!!,anyway don't wan't to treat tank until i'm sure what I'm dealing with.Oh yeah they will also lie flat on the bottom of tank and you can't see them until they are up and swimming again.

lol.. thanks, Dino helped us identify the little buggers or we'd not know what they were either. we only joined fishlore in january and started participating in march, so i'd like to think we show how much you can learn from all the members here.. and the other members have always been friendly, so it's contagious.

thanks. and be ready -- i see you've just been on a couple months almost, but after spending enough time here, you'll probably find yourself helping other members more & more as you learn more. So much to learn that we'll always be learning (that's why there are no experts here), but i think as you learn more, you get more confidence to answer a widening area of the questions of others.

Re: What kind of worms are these??

Eating the worms won't hurt your fish(thats extra protein). But if you get very many I would suggest vacuuming them out and do a water change. They usually show up when over feeding.
FLBettaCouple - shut up and say thank you
