Which fish where ?

3 1/2 tanks, 2 fish. How to proceed ?

Tank #1 : 6-gallon, newly cycled. No fish.

Tank #2 : 5-gallon, not cycled. 1 Male betta (Blue).

Tank #3 : 1-gallon, not cycled. 1 Male Betta (Red).

Tank #4 : 10-gallon, empty (no water, nothing). I *think* it's water tight, but my husband wants me to run another bead of silicone in it before we use it. I'll post photos in a bit to get some advice about this tank in particular.

Now, question.

Which fish should go into the 6-gallon ? Blue or Red ?

It's going to be a bit of moving about - because we'd like eventually to put the 5-gallon into my daughter's room (where the 1-gallon is now), and the 10-gallon in the boys room, divided, with two male bettas.

Red, the blue one is used to his environment and already has sufficient space the red on the other hand is in a small tank and would enjoy the upgrade. No need to stress 2 fish with the move.

Are the kids going to be upset if you change their fish? If they don't have a problem with it I agree the red. My bettas (males especially) seemed to get depressed when I changed their environment.

IMO, Red should be moved into the newly cycled 6g.
Give him some room to stretch his fins

I agree, Blue has enough room, they're both going through cycling and to move both, will mean keeping an even closer eye on both, when if you move just the one, you'll know where you are much easier too.

If you only want to move one fish then put the red one in the six. If you don't mind moving two fish you can put the blue one six and the red one in the five.
