help!!

i bought bio spira not realizing it was for salt water and put it in a freshwater tank, can i reverse this, or am i screwed?

Gosh, I'm not sure......Imo, if Bio-Spira worked for FW they would market it for FW.

Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Personally if it is made for saltwater there is a reason...I would do a 100%water change asap...but thats me and im not familar with that product.

That was probably the safest thing to do, in the absence of more information about bio-spira.

I noticed in your aquarium information that you don't know about the nitrogen cycle. I recommend reading up on the cycle right away: http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm

As you probably know now, the latest version of "BioSpira for Freshwater" is now called Tetra SafeStart. I have used SafeStart in the past and had great success with it. It works just like BioSpira where you add it and your fish at the same time. The big advantage to SafeStart over BioSpira for Freshwater is that SafeStart does not require refridgeration.
