help again please !!

We have a problem with our smallest panda cory he is not happy at all he is hiding 80%of the time and not really eating or being his usual busy self, so scared as this is how it started with our schwartz corys.

Could it be the stress of the molly incident or the introduction of our new arrivals ? advise please

My bet would be on the tank not being finished cycling yet. Corys can be pretty sensitive to water quality & especially don't deal with ammonia in the water. If the tank has cycled fully then it is possible the cory just needs time to settle in. Are there more Pandas in the tank to make it feel comfortable? My money is on not cycled properly though. Do you have ammonia, nitrite & nitrate test kits? If you do, what are the test results. If you don't, I strongly urge you to get an API master test kit. If you buy tests other than the API ones, make sure they are liquid tests as the paper strip type tests are usually quite inaccurate.

If it's just the one then I wouldn't start to panic just yet. Some take longer than others to settle in & your test results are all ok. Have you checked your pH? I otice that you have a PH chemical listed in your aquarium info. These chemicals can often cause PH crashes & the smallest/weakest fish will be the first effected. Sometimes there is a smaller weaker fish in a group as well that just isn't as tough as the others & there's nothing you can do about it.
I would give it a chance to settle right in & see if it improves. Try offering frozen food to try to get it to eat. Keep a good eye on it is about all I can offer you at this stage. Hopefully some of the other members can offer some better advice for you. You have my sympathy. It's horrible when you have a sick fish & don't know how to help it.

I would just keep a close eye on it. Make sure you keep up with your water changes & that it gets the opportunity to eat even if it doesn't actually consume anything.

Get as much surface disturbance going as you possibly can. Chlorine will dissipate into the atmosphere over a 24hr period & even faster with surface disturbance from a filter outlet or airstone. Point your filter outlet so that the out flow is breaking the surface if that is possible & turn any air driven devices on full. Add an extra air stone if you can do it immediately.

I don't know if either of the products you have remove chlorine as I have never used them.

Well update on our panda cory, he has been swimming round with his mates all afternoon and back to his self, he has even had a little bit to eat so hoping he is on the mend.

Maybe it was just stress from new additions that made him hide !
