Good News

My ammonia is now below 1 PPM. I guess the water changes have helped alot. Also my other Cory cat came out of hiding, showed his face for about 15 min then went back to hideing. Still can't find his spot. I'm still gonna do another water change tomorrow and add a bottle of TSS and keep tab's on everything. Suck's having to go back to work next week after getting to take a month off when our newest little girl was born.

Nice! Make your goal to get your ammonia as close to zero as possible, without any chemicals, then your tank is fully cycled and healthy!

I would suggest another big water change prior to adding the tetra safe start. In my experience with TSS... ammonia can really effect how it works in your tank. In my situation my ammonia was so high it would not let the TSS work. I have used it twice since then on brand new betta tanks and it worked wonderfully.

Oh and congrats on the Baby Girl!!!

your tank is not fully cycled until you have 0 for ammonia and nitrites and under 20 nitrates..ANY ammonia is not good..not "as close to zero"

Ammonia-0 (yeehaw)
nitrite-<0.3 mg
nitrate-Less than 5
Should I still use some TSS or do one more water change? Fish are all doing good.

Did a 4 gallon water change and I'll check water tomorrow. Also added a small bottle of TSS.
