Dying fish... any help would be great

Hey everybody
Today in my tank I noticed one of my black neon tetras acting quite strange. He was repeatedly swimming in circles, and twitching occasionally. Upon seeing his twitch, I immediatly placed him in a QT where he has only gotten worse. He is now doing loop-de-loops when not drifting either upside down or vertical. His black is totally faded and he appears to have one speckle on the top of his head. Similar looking to a grain of salt. Could be ICH, but I would expect to see more than one "grain of salt." I checked my water parameters, they are all fine, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5, pH is 7.4. Any ideas?

You can use that link to diagnose your tetra. It could be a parasitic infection and hes trying to get it off

Good morning. So sorry to hear your fish is not doing well. It sounds like "whirling" disease or possible neon tetra Disease.

It's been stated that whirling disease is caused by parasites that can lay dormant for years in foods such as tubiflex worms. To my knowledge there is no cure.

Here is a link on Neon Tetra Disease you may find helpful:Fish Disease - Neon Tetra Disease

Best wishes for your fish. Let's see what other responses you receive.
