What type of wafers are we talking about here? Are you feeding any other fishes? Corys and pleco's are scavengers so they'll get eats from cleaning up behind others. If it's just those guys your feeding then I'd go with 2-4 wafers every other day.

I would go with about 1 wafer each and if not finished in eight hours remove.

If it was flake or frozen then I'd say wait and remove. But pellets/wafers have very little waste byproducts therefore no unwanted nutrients are released into the water. This type of food is very clean. No need to remove, no need for extra work. Since corys and pleco's scavenge 8-10hrs a day, there will be very little left if anything.

The emerald green cory in our 47 gallon tank gets by on leftovers perfectly fine, as does the algae eater. I drop in a few shrimp pellets every so often to keep him happy.
