Insurance Paid Off

Well my wife thinks I am crazy for how I do things but it paid off. I like to have two of everything in case something fails. I got proven wise as yesterday one of my filters died. The Aqua Tech 30-60 HOB just quit working. Thank goodness for the Fluval canister that is also on the tank.

Ordered a new HOB today on eBay so I will be insured once again for the filtration.

Just curious to the lifespan of most aquarium items like filters, heaters, etc?

My dad had a ac300 now ac70 and he had it going for at least 10 years. He threw it away b/c it was old not b/c it broke... I should of kept it for another tank lol. Not sure if you want to keep buying two of the same things though... For example do you really need two of the same toothbrush/shampoo/computer chair? lol

Hello Thanson. I'm like you, I have spare everything where my fish and tank are concerned. I have an old Whisper V (as they were called at one time) for over 10 years and has run 24/7/365 It just started getting a bit noisy so I've retired it but I still have it on hand for an "extra" spare
