My new 55G tank

Well the fish transfer went well yesterday. Got everyone home in one piece. Took me about 2 hours to get everything set up. I bought one of those python filler/gravel vac tools ony to discover that neither of the sinks near where I had the tank were "anatomically correct" to receive the connector. It did however fit in the laundry room on the washing machine connection which already has a special attachment on it to accomadate my dog bath tub. My hubby went to Lowes and bought a long hose so we can stick the draining part of the filler/vac down the drain that receives the washing machine water. I just need to remember to replace the washing machine hose as soon as I am done with the gravel vac or we will flood the downstairs. I ran the tank for awhile after I got it going and in the meantime was acclimating the fish with tank water. There was a significant pH difference as I suspected there would be because of the city vs well water. The seller's reading yesterday morning was 6.5 and mine is about 7.8. In any event I am now the proud owner of 7 silver dollars, two angel fish, 3 tetras, 1 algae eater that looks like a shark, 1 mickey mouse platy female (that should make my daughter's boy platy happy once we put those in the tank in a few months) and last but not least a beautiful mystery fish that the seller could not recall what kind it was. Looks like I am going to have to reply to my own post to get the tank pics on but here are the fish. Anyone tell me what my mystery fish is. Oh also I tested the water this morning with an API liquid test kit (I felt like I was back in chemistry class) Readings were as follows:

Nitrates - 20
Nitrtites - 0
pH - 7.8
ammonia - 0

Here are the tank pics.

Can someone tell me if my parameters (previous post) are OK. The temp in the tank is about 78.

Also The tank has some sort of underwater gravel system with two bubbler tubes with carbon in the top. Don't know if that is easy to see from the tank pics. My question is...the filters themselves are quiet enough but the bubblers are not and the force of the water coming out of the filters and hitting the tank water is loud. There are two filters...a small top fin (20) and a larger aqua tech. The top fin appears to have a flow control on it which I played with this morning but it didn't seem to make any difference. The aqua tech I didn't see any obvious way to control the flow. The bubblers are on two separate air pumps. Could I buy flow control valves for them? I've seen those at Petco and WalMart. Would that help?

Your water parameters and your tank look good...Congratulations. Most people here will recommend keeping nitrates under 20, but the API booklet recommends keeping them under 40. Since my tap water contains 10 PPM nitrate I aim to keep mine below 40.

Be careful with that undergravel filter. They have a tendency to have all kinds of disgusting crud build up underneath of them, and eventually you need to remove the gravel, lift out the plates and clean up the "stuff" underneath of them. You could get flow control valves for your bubblers, since you have two external filters, the reduced flow through the undergravel filter should cause any problems.

Ohhhhh.....Your tank looks great! I have Angelfish too and I keep the temp at 80. I've read that keeping them in 80-82 keeps them healthier plus they like warmer water.

Thanks for all the nice compliments. Now to overcome my fear of the water chemistry "thing" and keep 'em all healthy.

Can anyone ID my mystery fish (bottom photo in the first post?) Is it a Dwarf Gourami?
