I have a 2-gallon tank for my grandson & would like suggestions on the best fish & how many to put in the acquarium. I don't wish to go bigger than 2 gallon as his interest may not last long. Thanks.

a 2g isnt big enough for a fish IMO but would be great for a shrimp colony or maybe a few snails? can you go at least a 5g with a filter and heater and get him a nice betta baby?

I agree with Shawnie you can't really put a fish in a 2g but I have seen some users have bettas in 2.5g tanks. Btw do you also know about the nitrogen cycle?
