I am in love!!
Oh my gosh I have just seen a drapefin barb for sale and I have fallen in love with it!!

does anyone own any? what are they like? I would appreciate any advice because they look so cute! Pic: http://www.cichlidexchange.com/fish/drape-fin-barb.jpg

I may have to get a tank just for these.

I have decided I will be purchasing some but in about 2 weeks!, apparantly they are a newly found fish from india!!

I couldnt believe how cute they were when I saw them and my crushing boots are on!

That is such a cool fish! I want some too lol!
I like your idea of getting a tank just for them, that way you can kind of observe them and see how aggressive they are and how they act. Good luck

Hmmmm....maybe they'll have some at my LFS The Wet Spot. The same guy who owns it owns The Cichlid Exchange where that pic is from.

Awesome! Personally, I'd set up a 20gal just for them and recreate the exact conditions of the rivers they have been found in. They're so cute! Look like they'll have a really nice sheen on them as well.

I havent got them just yet but I am definitly on my way to getting a new tank, I fell in love with a female betta and divided my 20g in half so she could have half and my male betta half. Me and the fella are moving into our own place in a few weeks so I will be getting them for xmas!! then PICS!!

Cool! I can't wait to see more pics of these guys and I hope they become more common in stores soon because I can probably make room somewhere!

hmm well they sell them on http://www.directtropicals.co.uk/ind...f04086e57d9319 which is where I originally saw them. I have bought from them before and they post 5:30pm the night before for delivery the next morning and the fish are very healthy! Never had a problem with them .

Too bad they don't ship to the U.S. lol.
They're cool lookin' little fishies.
