New Tank Recovering from Ich

I am brand new to Fish Lore and have only had my aquarium since August. I have recently (2 weeks) lost all of my fish except one very harty albino corey(Boo). He is still doing fine although he was very nervous all by himself so I broke down and bought another albino corey(Casper) and they are doing fine. How long do I need to treat the aquarium for ICH before I put more fish in. I have raised the temp to 80.

welcome to fishlore!!!!!

for ich, raise the temp to 83F and leave it there for 2 weeks....do 2 gravel vacs each week to get the ich spores out of the subtrate...add extra bubble wand as warmer water has less oxygen.....

do you know the readings for ammonia/nitrites/nitrates? have you figured out why they have ich? usually stress or water issues can cause that..and overstocked but you dont sound overstocked..

I had not put a heater in the tank so I am guessing that they were cold. At the end of the 2 weeks is 80 safe temp?

Welcome to Fish Lore Diva. Great advice above. Best wishes for your fish.
You are correct since the tank wasn't heated they may have caught a chill causing the ICH problem.
