this is random but do you guys know the differnce between a male and female apple snail?
just so you know, cycling with fish is very hard on them...and you could have more deaths even though you are doing everything right now with the prime and daily water changes..so be prepared ...its heart breaking but normal if you do loose more...sending allot of good wishes that you dont tho!!
heres a link for your snails http://www.applesnail.net/

oh and DONT add any more fish during this time!

and I am sorry about your losses, stick with it though, it is definitely worth it and you will feel awesome at the end of the cycle!!

cycle until your test kit says:

ammonia = 0
nitrite = 0
nitrate = 5-20

This usually takes around a month of daily partial water changes with Prime.

ive been doing evrything suggested. i lost another male but he was sickly looking anyway. my guppy that recently gave birth has been hanging out by the filter like the ones who are about to die do. whats wrong with her? is it just post birth stress?

oh no im sorry
keep up with the daily partial changes and prime....the stress of cycling with fish can be long lasting and you can keep loosing fish from the toxins every day dont give up but dont think everything is ok until the tank cycles and then you can still have deaths from them having to endure the cycle process...good luck and I hope you dont loose anymore!
