Thanks for the information Mathas! The only reason we were using the top fin was to get rid of the copper in our system. The sodium thiosulfate was our main water conditioner, but I had no idea about the chloramine in the water. Sounds like we should re think our conditioners.

The fungus appears on the frogs foot, usually a back leg. The entire foot is practically covered in fuzz then they die. Who would I contact to test the frogs? I'm thinking we should contact our supplier as well and see if they are having a problem with fungus. They could be spreading it to countless pet stores...

I agree. I was just getting ready to say you're to be commended for looking for answers. Especially since it's a chain store, it's not like a Mom and Pop store where you could go right to the owner.

Thanks Shawnie! I don't feel accosted don't worry! I walk into some pet stores and all the fish have obvious diseases and are not well taken care of. I'm pretty happy with the store I work for. It seems all the employees and managers are open to suggestions and advice. It is a national chain store, so I'm not sure how much of what we are doing is a regulation or procedure, but hopefully there is some leeway and we'll be able to fix some of our problems.

So I read the why are my fish dying article on the sodium thiosulfate...it apparently causes ammonia tests to incorrectly read 0. Are there any tests that will give an accurate reading with sodium thiosulfate in the system? Wow that is surprising. Our ammonia is always 0...makes you wonder.
