RIP Mr Shark

So I didn't find out about cycling the tank until after i had purchased my sliver tipped columbian shark and his two silver grommie pals. Day 2 Shark Dies Looks like i learned my lesson ill be getting water testing kit tomorrow see what kinda levels my water is at.

I'm sorry. Pretty much the same thing happened to me with losing my little betta girl. It sucks. A lot. (You probably want to Grab a bottle of Prime with that test kit.)

After doing first water test on the water. Reads as follows pH 7.5 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0. is this weird at all?

Not unusual, since you just started the tank, ammonia hasn't had a chance to build up.
Keep testing and once you have an ammonia reading start to do daily water changes to keep the levels down until the tank is cycled.
If you use Prime as your water conditioner, it'll detox the ammonia for 24 hours between water changes.
It would be wise not to buy any more fish until the cycle is complete.
Be patient, it can take up to a month.

You may want to skip on getting another one, as they get up to be 12-14" I am sorry for your loss.
