It's called Prime and it's made by Seachem. You'll find it with the water conditioners.

If you can't find Prime, Amquel+ will work the same way. Just keep in mind that Amquel+ causes the API test kit to test false positve for ammonia.

Welcome to Fishlore!

My advice is be patient. Since you are looking for some bigger fish to add later, one of my fav is Silver Dollars. Since you have no real plants 3 would go nicely in your tank. They are part of the Tetra family, a schooling fish, grow to approx. 6 inches, peaceful and are omnivores.

As I found out the stress zyme will not help your cycle, although I am not convinced it hurts it either. It doesnt contain the bacteria that converts ammonia -> nitrite -> nitrate.

At a little more than 2 weeks I had not seen any Nitrate either. I added filter media from a cycled tank to my filters, and within two days I now have Nitrate being produced and the other levels are dropping. My advice is to ask the LFS for a filter media sample.

Thanks for the tip on the nitrate test, i banged the bottle a bit this time. Getting a nitrate reading now and ammonia is around .5, think im getting there..
