Fiddler crab got out?

I had a fiddler crab in my tank.

The tank is completely covered. I even put netting around the filter.

I haven't seen him for a few days, and changed the water last night and couldn't find him.

So I'm assuming he got out. And I have no idea where he could be. There are two bathrooms and 4 bedrooms along with a hallway closet on the level he got out on.

is there a way I could like bait him so I can catch him?

Or am I just gonna have to wait for him to appear in the shower one day lol

I'm not sure about bait but I would leave out a little dish of water for him in each room if you could. Although fiddler crabs need to be able to get out of the water for periods at a time they still need water in general. Wouldn't want the little fella to dry out (so to speak) lol
Good luck finding your crab!

Is there anywhere that he might be hiding in the tank? I had some shrimp that found their way into a hollow resin ornament in order to hide from the goldfish they were living with. They'd only come out at night to eat.
It looks like you've got all freshwater tanks. If he's not in brackish or salt water, he could be feeling ill (though petstores sell critters that they call "freshwater fiddler crabs," the fiddlers in the aquarium trade are all brackish or marine), and would likely be hiding or would have tried to escape.

Oh no! What a little escape artist - I hope you catch Mr. Houdini soon. I agree with Mystic about the plate of water. Any kind of bait might draw ants before your crab. GL!!

I agree with sir..also if he passed, the fish listed in your 55 gal(if thats where he was) would snack on him ...I hope you find him!!!!!
