Strange clicking?

I have been hearing a strange clickng sound that has been coming from my tank. I am pretty sure that my filter or bubbler is not making the sound. Do you think it could be my betta, or my featherfin catfish? Do harqueins make that sound

probably the featherfin catfish. What other kinds of fish do you have in the tank?

Yep I agree with TFA. Featherfins are also known as "squeaker catfish" because of the strange noises they make.

That would make sense because I have noticed the sounds ever since I added muddy buddy back into the tank. At first I thought that I might have been my betta making sounds to intimadate the other fish

I don't think bettas make noise... i've heard mine at the most crunch up his pellets at meal time, but thats it. I know some gouramis "croak"...

one morning when i woke up, i heard a clicking sound, and there was a spider floating on the surface on my bettas bowl fighting my betta, the click was the betta biting the spiders leg!!!

Wow, that would be a shocker to me. My male betta is a big wimp though, he thinks he is so tough stalking the flys that I throw in his tank, until the fly moves then he darts behnd the bamboo

Could be your heater. Both of the Stealth heaters (100w & 75w) I ordered from DFS have made a 'clicking' noise since the day I got them. I spoke with DFS and they said it shouldn't be a problem (heard some say their's do it ... others don't). Haven't had a problem with mine in several months.

I recently ordered a 50w Stealth from Ken's and am awaiting it's arrival. I'm looking forward to seeing if it also makes the noise.
