co2 batch

I used this batch from this sitehttp://www.tropicalfishcentre.co.uk/Diyco2.htm It's forming tiny bubbles inside the 2 liter bottle but noting is coming out of the airstone in my 10 gallon tank. How long does it take? It's been made since Friday (9/11) evening when I made it. I'm also using this air stone temporarily until my diffuser arrives. http://www.petco.com/product/6367/PE...t=OnSiteSearch. Please help! I appreciate it.

My guess would be that there is not enough pressure created to overcome the restrictiveness of the airstone and the pressure of the water.

If you replace the aristone with a broken tip of Chinese food wooden stick it should work well.

It's a pretty common item to use as a DIY diffuser.

The bubbles should be coming out the airstone. I have a 2 liter diy co2 with an airstone on one of my tanks.

The recipe you used is the same I use. (I've tried some variations on the recipe)

I'm wondering if you have a leak where the tube comes out of the bottle cap. Maybe you could put the whole thing in a bucket of water and squeeze the bottle to see if you have bubbles coming out somewhere.

The water needs to be warm to activate the yeast. I used to put the bottle in a bucket of water with a small heater and it increased the amount of bubbles.

You should have bubbles coming from the airstone by now if you started it Friday. I would empty it out, check for leaks, and start over.

Good luck!

Ok thanks, I think they're might be leaks too. I'll submerge it in water when I get home.
