I don't use Aqadvisor for stocking, I use it to record down all my dream aquariums. LOL
Actually my friend Redlessi posted the link here - I am the one who created this tool.

Hey yhbae, someone pointed this out in a recent post and it doesn't seem right to me (but I'm no expert so may be you can explain)

I've never seen a tank of that dimension before. A square footprint of 48x48 and the height of only 13 inches. That's a huge surface area but not much height!

You won't be able to compare the stocking level of this tank against other tanks of similar volume - i.e. 48x24x26 or even 72x18x26 (which are more typical). If you try to accommodate Oscars in these tanks, I believe AqAdvisor will say you can keep around 3 or so.

I thought it was a weird dimension too but it was just what was presented in a different thread. I just tried out a 125g from your dropdown list and it still shows 4 oscars at 93%. Isn't that still a little much for a tank that size (just from what I've heard)? I could try talking to some others who have owned ocars and get their opinions on it.

Yeah that tank is 72x18x22 which is still a relatively low height tank (hence more footprint friendly)

If you go with 48x24x26 tank (also same volume), 4 would push it over 100%.

I will check again on the stock level for Oscar - I did go through this based on the feedback I received from a forum that specifically talks about Oscars and few users (at the time) confirmed that it looked ok.

Thanks for pointing it out.

No problem. I'm no expert on this fish (or any fish for that matter) so I'd go with what some oscar users said over what I say

Along the lines of the continual updates, let's keep the suggestions or questions regarding the program to either PM or e-mail. This thread was meant to let us know about a stocking tool. We know about it.
The only additions to this already-massive thread need to be major changes to the site (such as a new web address) or if anyone new wishes to voice an opinion on the site.
Also, to any new members who see this site, please take the time to read through this thread.

No problem.

For those who still have questions, have suggestions or want to request for corrections, please do not use this thread anymore. Either PM me as sirdarksol suggested or post in the following forum. It was created mainly for the purpose of communicating about AqAdvisor tool.
