Mbuna Compatibility Question

Hello, I set up my new 55 gallon tank a couple days ago and it is in a fishless cycle right now. I am going to stock it with mbuna . I wanted to add 1 or 2 Zebra obliquidens and i wanted to know if they could co exist with the other mbuna . I understand they are from around the same region in the world..

Beautiful fish they surely are! I read that they are considered mildly aggressive, do best in groups of six with a 1 to 2 male to female ratio (e.g. 2 males, 4 females). Likely compatible with most Mbuna that wouldn't harm them, so check for other mild (maybe even moderate?) aggressive Mbunas and there you go.

Safest bet would be to keep the ratios 1male to 3female. Seems to work for cichlids. I would look into some that don't grow too big so you can have room for a variety of species
