Guppies and a dwarf gourami?

Finally finished cycling. Yes!

So now I'm making sure of my stocking options. Would that combo work? 3 guppies and a gourami?

Hello Chozon1 and Congrats on the cycle!
Tropical Fish Aquariums Compatibility by Name this link may help you concerning compatibility. Personally I don't see any problems with your stocking list. It's been a long time since I kept either of the fish you have mentioned. I'm not certain if the flowing tails of the guppies would entice the gourami to nip or not. Let's see what other responses you receive.
Again congrats!

My Gourami loved my guppies and wasn't phased by their fast moving tails etc. They should be alright

I agree with Emily. Guppies should be fine with Dwaft Gouramies. I've tried them before. Had about more than 10 male guppies and 3 dwafts, no problems at all. Hope to see pictures of your tank soon. Congrats on the completing the cycle!

imo it depends on what type of gourami and what size tank....I wouldnt attempt it in anything less than a 20 gal and id go with the dwarf gourami's if you do...goodluck

Depends on the gourami Some gouramis can be aggressive, and other wont be

Is it a personality thing or does it have to do with breed?

I probably should've specified dwarf in the post.

Hmm. It is pretty much the behavior of the fish. But if you have a Dwarf Gourami, just have one inside the tank because if you have like more males and a female or more females, then there is going to be a lot of problems in your tank.

ypu can get a small nursery box at petsmart for about $5 and could breed the guppies if you want, it is really easy to manage the box

10G. I've read differing articles saying that was plenty big, or too small. :/

I think it would be fun to breed guppies at some point. ^_^ But at the moment, I'm still a beginner and don't want to do anything to tough. I really have no place to put the other gups.

Guppies have give birth to like 40! I wouldn't do it but your stocking list sounds great.
