Brown spots on fin

Hi,
This evening I have noticed some small brown spots on my silver dollars' fin.
Attached a pic, but it's hard to see them. They're evenly spaced and a dark brownish colour. His/her fin looks fine, there's no damage or ragged bits.

I've done some research and am wondering if it's Black Spot. None of the other fish (3 clown loaches and a rainbow shark) have any spots. The silver dollar is acting fine, still eating and swimming as usual.
Water is ok, tested yesterday - 0 ammonia, 0 Nitrites, 5 Nitrates.

Is this anything to be concerned about, and do I need to treat it?

Thanks

Hello amaux. It is common for Silver Dollars to get "black" spots from time to time depending on their mood. When mine are in the spawning mood most of their body and fins will turn black. As for brown spots on the fins....let's wait for some more responses.
It sure is a beautiful fish! Keep your eye on things

Mine have these spots too. I think it's just natural coloring, maybe as they get older. I've had mine about 8 months now, they were young when I bought them. The spots werent there then but I've noticed them within the last couple of months. They seem healthy and happy so I'm not worried about it!

That's a relief Thanks!
Now after reading about fish diseases and illnesses, I'm a bit paranoid! There seems to be so many things that they can "catch".
Is regular water changes and keeping a healthy tank the only way to safeguard my fishies against diseases?

ive seen many members look at "disease sites/pics" and low and behold, the next day their fish has some of them!! power of suggestion is sometimes our worst enemy

safeguarding against disease is not overstocking, stocking fish that arent compatable, proper tank maintenance, QT new fish for a week or 2, & a proper varied diet is the best way to keep fish happy...
