Fish Id

Hey Guys,
I have temporarily aquired some new fish. I have a friend who will be moving them to his much larger tank whe he gets back from travels.

I have a few questions:
1: I was told the big boy in the pic 1 is a silver shark yet he hardly compares to my smaller silver shark. He doesn't have the typical erect dorsal fin and the black edges. What is he? Also notice angel fish like legs on the "shark"
2: I believe the 2 blue fish are gouramis, which type are they?
3. Are the little guys in pic 2 black skirt tetras? If not what are they?

It looks like a cyprinid of some sort, but I don't know which one.

Fishbase has a great picture gallery for cyprinids (http://fishbase.com/identification/s...&fins=&c_code=), but there are 2770 species to look through. If you happen to be able to count the number of rays in the dorsal and/or anal fins, that might help you narrow it down if someone else doesn't recognize it.

He is around eight inches. Thanks for the positive ID on the tetras. Sorry about the pic size, I suck at this lol.

Having looked at that site (great site by the way) I am strugglind to find one where the dorsal fin is positioned so far down the spine. It is only an inch or so away from the tail. He also has really large eyes. Alot of the barbs on that site look similar.

EDIT Just after I typed it, I found this - A striped flying barb. I am almost 100% sure it is him.

http://fishbase.com/summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=12070

He has the far down dorsal, the stripe through the middle, and the darkened tail edges. Also the large eyes. What does everybody else think?

UPDATE

Hey guys,
I have handed 'Big Bob' (the silver shark looking beast in pic 1) into a local garden centre because he was far too aggressive. It turns out he is a giant rasbora, still has much more growing to do and they are extremely aggressive by nature. Hmmm that explains a few things. just thought I would let you guys know that we managed to ID him.
