one of my leopard danios looks sick

Not sure whats wrong but it looks a little limp, kind of crooked, not swimming to the top often, just hanging out near the bottom to middle, only ate very little for last 2 days. Just does not look right? My params are 0 nitrites, 0 ammonia and 10 nitrates, did partial water change as usual on sat. My friend fed the fish last week while I was on vacation and I suspect she may have overfed a little. Everyone else in the tank looks great (cories, guppies, danios and ghost shrimp) Any suggestions.......................

hmm... is his spine kinda crooked? like of L shape? if so, it could be a sign of fish tuberculosis..

he did not last that long, it looks like he got sucked into the filter and could not get loose. hopefully the other fish wont have what he did. he was like that for 2 days and my first thought was since I was on vacation last week maybe my friend overfed the fish a little. any suggestions to what happened.............

It doesn't sound like a case of overfeeding. Usually when they eat too much there tummies get big. The biggest problem with overfeeding is usually uneaten food decaying and producing ammonia.

But I really don't have any idea why he died from. Maybe someone else will have an idea.

is this normal for guppies

I recently added guppies to my tank on Saturday and noticed that today 2-3 of them are at the very top of the tank for periods of time. Is this normal.
All of my water params are fine, 0 nitrite, 0 ammonia and 10 nitrate.

Thanks much

Mine are at the a lot top too. Keep an eye on them, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

anyone know anything about neon tetra disease

Quite possible my guppy has this and one of my danios already died from what looks like this. What do I need to do to ensure the rest of my fish dont get it?

There are some fish that suffer from NTD but I'm pretty sure guppies and danios don't.
What are the symptoms?

The danio died yesterday after looking limp, a little crooked and isolating from the group swimming with some difficulty. It was like that for 2 days. Now 2 guppies are looking/doing the same.........

What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrates?
Has anything new been added?
