mosquito larva?????????

just wondering if what i saw was indeed mosquito larva, it definaltly moved the same way with the little back and forth "s" squiggly motion and came out from the gravel, it was brown and hairy too. is it possible to have mosquito larva in a fish tank? and is it something that will hurt the fish?

It wont hurt the fish, in fact, it could be lunch for the fish
i wouldnt let him develop into a mosquito, they annoy the HECK out of me

it is possible. I once say a mosquito landing in my ten gallon, only to become betta lunch

It is possible for a mosquito larvae to live in a fish tank as far as water conditions are concerned but I have never seen one live very long in a tank that has fish in it. My fish think they are a giant treat and eat them almost as fast as I can catch them in local water and drop them into the tanks.

It sounds right to me. I had the same thing not long after I put fish into my tank. It's been a few months since then, and haven't seen them anymore. I don't expect them to make it to adulthood!

guppies love mosquitoes
i would just net it out and kill it, since the worm will develop by then..

Good morning. Agreed with the above posters. It won't do any harm. Best of luck trying to catch it!
